A lot has gone on in the past few months, but I’m focusing on the positive for now. I’ve had some acting work during that time. Most were brief parts that paid money. But the most enjoyable and interesting role did not pay money. I did it anyway, which is rare these days. I’ll be getting a copy of the film, and the experience was very uplifting. After the audition, I felt I had it. The only times I have felt like that, I did get the role. I’m not overly confident in general. As a child, I never said, “I failed the test” and then got a 90%. I usually have a pretty good idea of how I did.
After the on-line audition, I
wrote this poem:
For a Woman
So
many parallels to my life
as
I auditioned for the role
of
a divorced woman
a
woman who left her husband
for
a woman
except
the woman
I
left my husband for
was
me
